A tsunami or a landslide? Two mantis-like observers watch as they see the sun shining down. The X-ray of a child with a pneumothorax has been dissected, only the essence left, the horizontal pattern contradicting the strong diagonals in this image. Dark purples challenge the light shining from the left and the sweeping colours transfix the static shapes described by the chest X-ray. The two observers were originally shapes formed from the unexposed areas on the sides of the X-ray, cut out, and moved to the right where they help to form a focus.
