I’ve always thought that ecks-rays were so very beautiful, and even when viewing a horrid fracture or pulmonary condition, I found myself studying the lines, the contrast, and the delicate nature of the picture.

Yeah, i reckon it is something to do with self defence – perhaps my reaction to chronic anxiety relating the the suffering i see stretching back over many many years. I have always been attracted by the beauty of the construction of the human body and by the visual impact of the X-ray pictures I look at daily, but the exposure to human pain takes it’s toll. If i can use this as a catharsis, that must be good for the soul. I love doing it so something must be working. Thanks again for commenting. Tony

i live in where the air is very clean along the pacific coast of ecuador. when i visit a city, an old raspy wheeze returns almost instantly. from now on when i hear it, like i did today in manta ecuador, i will think of you and how you turn those images of pulmonary afflictions into works of art.
I think your art is very unique and quite beautiful! I used to be a medical technologist and worked in hospital hematology labs for some years before quitting. I always liked looking down the microscope, though. I will look forward to seeing more of your work! Best, Anita

I came across your beautiful work yesterday and really love Sinuses and pollution and the story behind it. It looks like I feel when my air monitor registers 400 ug/m3 one foot outside my door when my neighbor burns leaves. Anyway, I would like to use it in my first blog. I am doing as series of short and informal articles about air pollution mainly and I just thought it would be perfect and perfectly beautiful. It is mesmerizing. I have placed it in the blog for you to see in place but will remove it pronto if necessary. But in the event you do not mind I would like to use it as the main picture in a later blog in the series.
